Join the MMA’s Field Ornithologist, Ginger Andrews, for a an educational birding field trip. You will learn about bird families, habitats, how to use field guides, common local bird species, tips for seeing birds, and how to adjust your binoculars for best vision. We will include both field and indoor study, using the collections in the Research Center on cold or rainy days. Field trips will explore various habitats around town and beyond, depending on availability of participants’ transportation.
This program meets at the MMA research Center at 2 Vestal St. at 7:45 AM. A vehicle is highly suggested. Binoculars are available for loan while supplies last. Pre-registration is required. Please dress for the weather. At least one adult must sign up with children. Limited to 10 guests. This program will be cancelled in the event of rain and refunds issued.
